French Elocution Competition - 2024

FRENCH ELOCUTION COMPETITION - 2024

The much-awaited annual French Elocution Competition was conducted this year on 20th November 2024, by the French Language students of STD X. A total of seventy-two students, from STD III to STD X took part in this competition.

Mrs. Suchita Sripathi, founder of Abhyasa, a French institute, Mrs. Neha N Bellare, French teacher at Sophia High School and Mrs. Karyn Felsinger, French teacher at St. Joseph’s High School graced the occasion and presided over the competition as judges.

On the day, the students took to stage with confidence and poise, enthralling both the audience and the judges with their impressive oratory skills. The students recited famous poems from French literature and iconic speeches of important figures from French history.

The event was a grand success in showcasing the love for language and appreciation towards French literature, politics and culture in general. It helped the young students in developing self-expression, confidence and in promoting public speaking skills in particular.

“An absolutely delightful elocution event, celebrating not just the French language, but also the camaraderie between teachers and students.
