Bishop Cotton Boys’ School had the honour of hosting the Albert Barrow All-India Inter-School Creative Writing Competition 2026 (Category I – Pool C51) on 13th July 2026, welcoming participants from 25 CISCE schools.

The programme commenced with a Bible Reading and Opening Prayer led by Mrs. Bindhya Kumar, followed by a warm welcome by Mrs. Jeninta Anandan. Mrs. Sunantha Prudence, the Moderator, highlighted the life and legacy of the late Mr. Albert Barrow and briefed participants on the competition guidelines, while Mrs. Susan Cherian, the Observer, ensured the smooth, confidential and impartial conduct of the event.

Addressing the gathering, Vice-Principal Mr. Dhiviyanathan J. encouraged the participants to write with originality and confidence before announcing the nationally synchronised competition topics at 9:30 a.m. The young writers then showcased their creativity and literary talent through their written submissions.

The reception and registration arrangements were efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Angel Sieona Samuel and Mrs. Gina Hazel Manjers, ensuring a warm and seamless experience for the participating schools. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Ishita Guha, followed by the Closing Prayer led by Mrs. Violet Johnson.

Bishop Cotton Boys’ School expresses its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Sunantha Prudence, Moderator, for her meticulous coordination of the competition, and to Mr. Dhiviyanathan J., Vice-Principal, for his exemplary leadership and guidance in ensuring the successful conduct of this prestigious national event.
