Bengaluru, June 29 —
St. Peter’s Day was marked with solemnity and splendour at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, blending tradition, spiritual reverence, and national pride.
A key moment was the installation of detailed models of INS Vikrant and INS Delhi at Warden’s Park, generously gifted by Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, AVSM, VSM, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and a distinguished Old Cottonian. These symbols of maritime strength reflected the transformative journey of St. Peter—from fisherman to apostle—rooted in divine calling and faith.
The Sung Holy Eucharist was led by Rt. Rev. Dr. K. Reuben Mark, Moderator-in-Charge of the Church of South India, and attended by dignitaries including Rt. Rev. Dr. P.K. Samuel, Bishop Emeritus of CSI-KCD; Rev. Dr. Vincent Vinod Kumar, Secretary, CSI-KCD; Rev. Christopher Samuel, Assistant Secretary, CSI-KCD; Mr. N.D. Solomon Raju, Treasurer, CSI-KCD; Mr. Devadas Sadhu, Associate Treasurer, CSI-KCD; and Rev. Christy Gnandasan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Management, along with members of the Board of Management.
Also present were Mr. Alistair R.A. Freese, Principal; Mr. Johnson, School Treasurer; former principals; Old Cottonians; faculty; and students.
The service evoked deep spiritual reflection and reaffirmed the school’s Christian heritage and values of faith, service, and leadership.
On Straight On!
