Theme: The Phoenix Rises Again
The 16th edition of Resurgence, the prestigious interschool Commerce and Economics Fest hosted by Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, was successfully held on the 18th and 19th of July 2025 across the school campus. Renowned for promoting excellence in leadership, innovation, and enterprise, Resurgence 2025 — with the theme “The Phoenix Rises Again” — witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 1,300 students from leading schools across Bengaluru.
The fest featured 15 meticulously curated events designed to foster analytical thinking, effective communication, business acumen, and creativity. Among the standout competitions were the flagship events — Dalal Street, Hotel Management, Fourth Wall, and Beyond the Tank — all of which challenged participants to think on their feet and demonstrate real-world business intelligence.
The Opening Ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Raj Mruthyunjayappa, along with the Principal, Members of the Board of Management, and faculty. A word of gratitude is extended to Reverend Immanuel Nehemiah for leading the gathering in a meaningful opening prayer. The programme commenced with a dynamic performance by the Event Heads and Organising Committee, followed by a vibrant musical act by the talented ISC Band — setting an energetic and inspiring tone for the days ahead.
After two days of spirited competition and innovation, Christ Junior College was declared the Overall Winner of Resurgence 2025, while St Joseph’s Boys’ High School emerged as the Runners-Up.
The success of the fest is a testament to the coordinated efforts of the Commerce faculty and the student body. Special mention must be made of Abhay K., Commerce Secretary, for his remarkable leadership and clarity of vision; Mrs. Rajani Clara Sumathi, for her guidance and support; and the dedicated staff of the ISC and ICSE Departments, whose tireless efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event.
Resurgence 2025 stood as a proud celebration of Cottonian excellence — honouring tradition while empowering bold, young minds to rise.
