Bishop Cotton Boys’ School hosted a comprehensive Parents’ Orientation Programme for Grades VIII and X, designed to engage parents as “partners in progress.” This session provided a detailed overview of the academic curriculum, particularly elective courses, as well as the school’s rules, regulations, and co-scholastic activities, ensuring parents were well-informed about the academic year ahead.
The orientation commenced with a thought-provoking reflection:
“A parent is a teacher at home, and a teacher is a parent at school; at the heart of this harmonious relationship lies the child—the nucleus of our collective aspirations and endeavours.”

This was followed by presentations by elective subject teachers, offering detailed insights into the curriculum and academic expectations for the upcoming year.
Student Well-being & Interactive Session

An interactive session allowed parents to gain deeper insights into Cottons’ pedagogical approach. Parents expressed appreciation for the Principal’s commitment to open communication, noting his prompt responses to queries via email and telephone. This transparent and responsive approach has significantly strengthened trust and empowered parents to better support their children’s educational journey.
Co-Scholastic Activities & Closing Remarks
