The French assembly held on July 12th, 2024, was a very informative and entertaining events in Cottons.
The assembly began with the comperes announcing the topic: "The Storming of the Bastille." The session commenced with a Bible reading, followed by a prayer in French. The comperes then introduced the topic, providing the Cottonians with background information on the historic event.
Following this, the French boys sang a beautiful song in French. The highlight of the assembly was a skit about the Storming of the Bastille. The skit depicted an Indian visiting France and learning about the event. The Indian met a French person who explained the significance of the decorations, proudly recounting how the people of France fought against the despotic powers of King Louis XVI and won.
The assembly continued with a dance performance by the French boys and concluded with a word of thanks from the comperes.
